Introducing the One Stitch at a Time quilt kit. This is no ordinary kit. Classic quilt kits are fabric and sometimes a quilt pattern. But this kit was crafted specifically for the first time quilter, helping you go from overwhelm to proud owner of a you-made quilt top. Beginning June 2nd, we'll go through the stages of making a Mary's Patchwork Quilt together, during our accompanying SAL (that's short for sew-along!).

This kit is for you if you dream of creating your own quilt but find the process daunting and overwhelming. Join us and 24 other not-yet-quilters to create your own cozy patchwork quilt top!

What's included:

One Stitch at a Time book by Meaford Pattern Press
Quilt fabric to make a 50" x 55" quilt top
Video lessons, weekly sew-along emails and private Facebook Group

Each kit includes: 9 fat quarters for the squares, border fabric, and binding fabric. These are all the fabrics you'll need to complete a 50" x 55" quilt top.

Your choose of brightly coloured prints or frosty, blue and green solids. Both colourways are for the same FQ version.

The title, One Stitch at a Time, comes from the idea that nothing is a whole task. Each quilt, even a really big quilt, is made through a series of smaller, more manageble tasks.

As a beginner, it can be so easy to look at someone else's whole, finished quilt, and think it impossible to do. But whoever made that quilt you're intimidated by, started with one cut and then another and then one stitch and then another. In little, bite-sized tasks, you too, can make a quilt. A perfectly sized, 50" x 55" lap quilt to be specific.

The book is a combination of tutorial and quilt pattern designed to guide you through the steps of precision quilting. You'll begin this book/sew-along as a non-quilter and complete it as not only a quilter but the owner of your very own patchwork quilt.

The book is wire-bound so it will lay flat allowing you to easily keep it open while you work. The paper features a smooth, matte texture for glare-free reading.

The sew-along is 4 weeks beginning on June 2nd. To participate, you'll need to subscribe to our email list. Once you,ve purchased a kit, we'll send you a link to sign up for the sew-along emails. Once the SAL is complete, you'll be unsubscribed and won't hear from us ever again (unless you want to, of course)!

You'll receive an email a few days prior to the the start date with instructions on how to access the private Facebook group. The group is a way of connecting with other people participating in the SAL and is not mandatory.

We also have a dedicated email address where you can ask Meg your questions and receive answers and encouragement!

Returns and Exchanges

Returns must be initiated within 14 days of receipt of product. There will be a 15% restocking fee as well as the customer is responsible for the return shipping costs. The goods must be unused, undamaged and in the original package. Refunds (minus the 15% restocking fee) will be issued when we have received back the inventory in unused and undamaged condition. Shipping charges will not be refunded.

For goods returned damaged or opened, there will be a 50% restocking fee and the remaining 50% will be issued in the form of store credit. There are no returns on pre-washed fabric.

To begin the return process please contact us at info@lindleygeneralstore.ca with your order number as the email subject. Please await further instructions and the return address.

It is recommended to purchase tracking when making returns as we are not responsible for lost packages.

If we have made an error with your order, we will pay the cost of return shipping. Please contact us within 7 days so that we may correct the problem for you as soon as possible.

If you've never quilted, this book will walk you through each step in creating your own patchwork quilt. You'll go from knowing nothing to knowing everything you need to make an actual quilt!

Absolutely not! This is only to make access to us easier and allow you to share your progress with other participants.

While there is a comprehensive list of supplies you'll need in the book, and you'll receive a pdf version of that list once you've purchased your kit. That way, when the SAL begins, you'll have everything you need to get started.

For this release, shipping is only available to Canada and the USA.

We hope to add shipping options for additional countries next time around, so be sure to check back in the fall!
