US Shipping Update

If you are in the US and have been trying to purchase from Lindley General Store, you might have noticed that we had removed 90% of products from the US website. We have had to do this because of the complications with the tariffs and our own postal service here in Canada being on strike.

You could say that 2025 was the perfect storm of circumstances. But we have been trying to find a solution to these problems. And we think we've finally found that solution. But part of that solution involves changing shipping prices and charging US tariffs and import duties upfront. This is required of most couriers now as the US customs have been rejecting parcels that have not been pre-cleared and pre-paid.

While charging the tariffs and duties upfront will make the checkout total look a little higher, it will be more convenient for you because we'll be remitting the tariffs on your behalf so all you'll have to do when your package arrives is open it!

As this is sort of a test run, the only product that isn't made in the USA currently available on the store is the Berry Harvest quilt kit. If all goes well with this, we'll add the rest of our quilt kits.
