This 2½ inch x 24½ inch rectangle ruler is the perfect size! It fits cleanly on your mat without any overhang, and cutting directly off the bolt has never been easier! The ruler features easy-to-read black and white markings printed in 1-inch grids marked in ⅛ inch and ¼ inch increments. Use the easy-to-read, black numbers (printed on white dots) and the ¼ inch grip sides to cut whole inches. The ¼ inch dashed lines printed on two adjoining sides aid in trimming seam allowances. Use the patented Turn-A-Round feature, designated by the easy to read, numerical white numbers (printed on black dots) and the ½ inch grip sides, to add the ½ inch seam allowance.

Use the white 45º angle to trim half-square triangles in whole inch increments. Use the black 45º angle to trim half-square triangles in half-inch increments. An additional black 45º line is placed so that they cross ¼ inch away from the outside edge. Use these markings to square up flying geese units and squares set on point. The ruler also features a 30º/60º angle. White horizontal and vertical lines are printed on the rectangle so the center of the ruler is easily distinguishable. Use these lines to fussy cut stripes and borders.

The ruler slides easily over the fabric until pressure is applied. Then, Creative Grids exclusive gripper holds the fabric in place while cutting, eliminating slipping and miss-cuts!

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, definitely! All yardage (unless otherwise specified) is cut from the bolt when it comes time to process your order. This means that if you purchase a quantity of 4 (½ yards), we will cut a single 2-yard piece of fabric from the bolt.

Most orders cannot fit in lettermail. However, if you have purchased very specific things, like a pattern or 5 half yards of fabric or less, we can put in in lettermail upon request.

Please keep in mind that lettermail is not tracked and we are not responsible for packages that go missing in the post!

We rip all of our wide backings to ensure accuracy. As wide backing fabric is double folded, cutting isn't as accurate as ripping. Ripping follows the grain, ensuring you get what you ordered.
